The Truth Is Out There

After almost two months of drawing, scanning 14" x 17" bristol paper, and some digital coloring action, here are the final illustrations for my friend's band's album art. I'm SO fucking happy to have finally finished this project. It really challenged me (to the point of almost going insane a few weeks ago) and I like to think I did a good job on the final product. I especially want to thank Shalimar and Paul for their advice and guidance. :-)

The story is coming through really interesting through these. I love that the color pallete has been toned down to a few colors. It adds a sense of dramatic atmosphere that helps get the tone of the story across. My favorite one is the boy sitting with the rabbit with the little cyclops demons behind them. Were they always part of it or did you decide to add them later?

I added them on later, I wanted to give a feeling of everything closing in on him, a heavy sense of despair and claustrophobia. I owe you and Shal for the limited palette suggestion last week. You saved my sanity.

Thanks for all the comments guys! :-)

The colors are excellent. The orange highlight is great.
