Odyssey: Penelope

One of a set of four 'The Odyssey' inspired pieces I'll be submitting into an art show in July based on the 'Artist's Mythology'.

This is my take on Penelope, wife to the main character "Odysseus", who in light of his disappearance fends of suitors looking to take his thrown by promising marriage once she has finished weaving a tapestry. Throughout the epic, she unravels the tapestry everynight, hoping to buy time for her love to return.
