Emphatic about not being static

I took my solo blog page and am hoping to do something with it. I have that hunger that aspiring people want and I'm not gonna sit around and wait for it to happen. here is a link if anyone wants to check it out.

on aa side note I recently put a pretty primative post on craig's list in hopes that my streak of luck changes ( basically I threw a message in a bottle out to sea ) and viola! i have my first official customer. He wants me to restore the art on his old pinball machines. here are some samples.



As you can see, it will probably be easy. there's no crazy blending of colors and they are all solid & simple. If i do well he says there will be more work, so I hope i do well!

New Website

Well, not new, but updated, well not updated but redesigned. Hehe. The redesign is up. Its so simple it will make your eyes bleed. Following pauls genius layout, it inspired me. I have to upload a bunch of new work, and make all the links fancy java pop ups. But, go check it out now.

Meow?

Jarold was over, and Melinda asked him to draw a cat in a tree. And what he came up with is pretty awesome. So instead of going to straight to homework, i decided to play coloring book. Anyway, here ya go. (BTW Jarold doesn't know I did this so dont tell him) :-P

More website sketches

Here are some more ideas I came up with today. I think I like it, but I dunno about how to set up the main page, so please, input would kick ass.
I might just put all the art up on this page, and make smaller squares so it takes up more room? I am getting this idea from this website: Dean Trippe. He's a great cartoonist/illustrator, so check it out when you can. Then the four links on top (blog, contact, info, and links) will have separate pages. Woop! Also, I was thinking of doing an individual page for Alien Raver, so I did this quick doodle..
As you can see, that was really a half-assed sketch. Heehee. I know you GDs are all falling off your chair hating that bubbly font lol, but I am not going to use that one, because I have a self-made font for Alien Raver. So yeah... tell me what you think!!! ::faints::

It looks like Pepsi is releasing a whole series of can re-designs.

Pepsi Can Gallery (Skip the Intro)

I can't speak for each individually- but overall, I love the idea. Take the classic Pepsi Blue, and give it a sort of pattern. And I love the plain, simple Pepsi logo in the middle. Very classic in a way. I hate it when I pick up a can or bottle of cola and it's got some sort of promo label. I really like drinking out of a plain can or some reason.

It's hard being green

Hey guys, I did a quick prototype for my website, to test out the design I want. I am HIGHLY picky/perfectionist/blah-zie, so please let me know what you think. I was going to save the ai file I was working on, but Illustrator wanted to be a poop, so it quit "unexpectedly" (I was in the process of saving, too. Oh the irony). But anyway, input is always appreciated. I am going to work on more prototypes tomorrow, so I'll post those once completed.

My recent self portrait, in the works. I was thinking of incorporating it into my website design, but I think I am going to use it as the index page "go ahead and enter!" image. Who knows, I've been so fucking picky lately. Makes me wanna hurl myself onto a purple brick wall, and not like it.
